A perennial favorite during the summer, be it at picnics, weddings, or potlucks, this delightful concoction can be effortlessly prepared during the winter months using frozen fruits.

Why i Love This Classic Summer Drink?

With only 49 calories per serving, this fresh, homemade peach strawberry lemonade is a guilt free refresher. full of vitamin c, vitamin A, calcium and even a bit of fiber. It’s one of my favorite lemonade recipes because it uses fresh peaches instead of peach syrup giving it a true fruit flavor.

Strawberry peach lemonade is a versatile punch that goes well with lots of barbecue and picnic dishes. I love it with light main courses like Shrimp Salad Rolls with Peanut Dipping Sauce and this Healthy California Chicken Salad Recipe and if you’re bbq’ing, try it with chicken or ribs topped with Blackberry Barbecue Sauce.

All The Fruity + Fabulous Drinks

I’ve been loving ALL the refreshing fruity drinks lately. In the mornings, it’s an Easy Strawberry, Blackberry, Banana Smoothie. For awesome adult drinks, you’ve gotta try my Homemade Margaritas or Lavender Lemon Drop Martinis With Cocktail Sugar Rim. For a warm and comforting garden drink, try Traditional Lavender Milk Tea.

INGREDIENTS

You’ll only need 4 simple ingredients (plus water or soda) for this easy homemade strawberry peach drink. If you want to make it a little more ‘adult’, check out the variations below for my suggestions.

  • Fresh Strawberries – Using real strawberries and other fruits are what make this lemonade stand out. Natural sweetness and gentle acidity bring out the best in this trio.
  • Fresh Peaches – If you’ve ever had fresh peach lemonade, you know how good real peach juice is. A good lemonade is made with REAL ingredients. When it’s the time of year for sweet ripe peaches, this is the recipe to make.
  • Fresh Lemon – Bottled lemon juice is often more harsh with less natural sweetness so if possible, use the real thing.
  • Maple syrup – I love the natural flavor in maple syrup and it blends in nicely, preventing any residual sugar crystals.

INSTRUCTIONS

Fruit barely cooked into sweet maple syrup gets blitzed in the blender to make a fresh juice. Add lemon juice, water or seltzer and garnish with fresh mint to finish this awesome homemade lemonade.

  1. In a small saucepan, add 2 cups of water and maple syrup. Stir over low to medium heat until dissolved.
  2. Add strawberries and peaches to the pan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to let mixture simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent boiling over.
Remove from stove and let fruit juice cool to room temperature.
  3. Pour into a blender or use an immersion blender and blend well until smooth.
  4. Pour strawberry peach juice into a large pitcher. Add lemon juice and remaining 2 cups of water and stir well. Taste and add extra lemon or maple syrup to taste.
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
  5. Place pitcher on ice or add ice cubes right before serving. Garnish with mint sprigs, sliced strawberries, peaches and lemon wedges.

Hint: This recipe doubles or even triples well. If you’re making it for a party, make the concentrated juice ahead of time and keep in the fridge. Once your guests arrive, fill the pitchers with still or soda water, ice and strawberry peach juice and enjoy the party!

Substitutions and Variations

  • Sweetener – Easily substitute honey, agave syrup or simple syrup (a 50/50 mixture of sugar dissolve with water).
  • Nectarines – Got nectarines but no peaches? These 2 fruits can be used interchangeably with no difference in quantity. Blend it up and top your lemonade with nectarine slices instead of peach.
  • Add alcohol – Swap the maple syrup and one cup of water for 1 cup of Limoncello or peach Schnapps. Alternatively you can leave the maple syrup in, and use 1 cup of rum or vodka in place of one cup water.
  • Strawberry Mango Lemonade – Switch up the peaches for mango for a tropical flavor. For even more tropical vibes, use coconut water in place of plain water.
  • Strawberry Lemonade Seltzer – Instead of plain water, use plain club soda or sparkling water. I think sparkling strawberry peach lemonade is even more refreshing that plain.

Equipment

A blender and sauce pan are all that’s required. Because the peaches and strawberries are soft, any blender will do, you don’t need a fancy, high powered blender for this.

Storage

This lemonade recipe keeps well, covered in the fridge for 3 days. If you want to make it into strawberry seltzer, don’t add the club soda until you’re ready to serve.

If you want to freeze this, leave out the water until you thaw it out. To freeze, be sure it is stored in an airtight container. Frozen this way, it will keep 3+ months.

To thaw, leave it in the fridge overnight or at room temperature for a few hours. Stir well, add water or soda and stir again before serving.

Top Tip

Serve up the coldest most refreshing lemonade you can. Chill the juice well before serving and fill glasses with large cubes of ice right before pouring. The larger the ice, the slower it melts, keeping your drink fresh and cold without watering it down too much.

Notes

Fresh or frozen fruit works equally well. If fruit is frozen, you don’t need to dice it. Frozen fruit thaws to a softer consistency and purees easier.
If the fruit mixture is not as smooth as you would like, strain it before adding to the pitcher.
